Patagonia Diaries – Day 7 – El Calafate

In the past few weeks, we have been up around 6am (on average) almost everyday to either catch a flight or drive hundreds of kilometers away. So, on this day, which also marked the end of our Bolivia-Chile-Argentina journey, we decided to give the El Calafate Ice Museum a miss and stay in until check out. Our flight back to Buenos Aires was at 4pm so we had enough time to stroll around downtown El Calafate. Busy it was NOT. Everyone was out to see Perito Moreno Glacier purporting the practicality of El Calafate’s location, which lies on the shores of Lake Buenos Aires. Other than the fact that it was built in the 1920s to promote settlement, we had the best Patagonian Roast Lamb BBQ EVER! Cooked On Fiirrrrrre!

I hopelessly scoured through my images to find ONE that was taken in El Calafate. There was none. Not even a selfie. I guess Perito did take my breath away. So in honor of that, I present the worst selfie.
